How do updates by text actually work?
You message us in plain English on WhatsApp or by email: "raise the oil change to $49" or "add three photos from the Henderson job to the gallery". You get a preview link, you approve it, and it goes live. No dashboard to log into, no tool to learn, no waiting for someone to free up. On Concierge every update is live within 24 hours on business days; on Care, within 2 business days. In practice, small edits usually go live the same day.
Who makes sure a text message can't break my site?
We do. Every change goes through a preview and automated checks before your customers see it. If something doesn't build, it doesn't ship. One sentence can't wipe your pricing page or wreck your layout. That's the difference between a concierge and a WordPress dashboard, where anyone with a login can do anything.
Will I lose my Google rankings?
No. This is the part we guard most closely. Every URL stays the same or gets a 301 redirect. Meta tags, structured data and your sitemap move over with the content. Rankings usually go up, because a clean static site is easier to crawl, including for AI-powered search engines.
What happens to my contact form?
It keeps working, with no Contact Form 7 and no plugins. Submissions land in your inbox through a simple form service (often built into the host). Bots get caught by a hidden honeypot field instead of a CAPTCHA, so real customers never have to click on traffic lights.
What's included in the monthly plan?
Three things in one: updates by text, managed Cloudflare hosting (set up on your own account) and care: uptime monitoring, full version history, bug fixes. Care ($49/mo) covers up to 4 updates a month, live within 2 business days. Concierge ($99/mo) covers up to 12 updates with a 24-hour SLA, 4-hour emergency response on business days and one new page per quarter. Concierge Plus ($149/mo) raises that to 25 updates, blog posts included, with priority handling. There's no "plugin updates" line item, because there are no plugins. Cancel with 30 days' notice: your site stays yours and keeps running, because it's just files.
How much will I actually save?
A typical small-business WordPress site costs $100–$500 a month in agency retainers or maintenance plans, plus hosting, plus premium plugin and theme licenses, plus somebody's time for every small change. Our plans start at $49/mo with hosting included. Then there's the cost nobody budgets for: cleaning up after a hack.
Does this work for online stores (WooCommerce)?
Stores are a different scale of project, so they're not part of the packages above. If you run one, tell us. We'll say straight out whether moving makes sense or whether you're better off staying on Woo.
What happens to my old site?
Nothing gets lost. Your old WordPress site stays with you as a backup for 30 days, until you've confirmed everything works. Switching the domain is a single DNS change, and it can be rolled back in minutes.
Do you work with businesses in the US and UK?
Yes. Appience is a software company with 16 years behind it, based in Poland and working in English. Everything happens in writing over WhatsApp or email, so time zones don't slow anything down, and every SLA counts from the moment your message arrives.
