Who controls your data

Appience (Jan Lipmann). For anything related to your data, email: jan@appience.com.

What we collect and why

Through the form on this site (or by email) you send us your website address, your email address and an optional message. We use them only to prepare your free website audit and to reply to you about it. This processing is necessary to take steps at your request before a possible contract (Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR and the UK GDPR). If we keep talking after the audit, the basis is our legitimate interest in having that conversation (Article 6(1)(f)).

We don't send newsletters, we don't share your data for advertising, and we don't make automated decisions based on it.

Where the data is stored

Form submissions go to a spreadsheet in Google Workspace, and email lives in a mailbox on the same service. Google acts as our processor under its standard data processing terms (the Google Workspace Data Processing Amendment). The server that delivers this site (Vercel) keeps standard technical logs, such as IP addresses, as every host does.

How long we keep it

Until our conversation about the audit ends, and no longer than 12 months after our last contact. If we start working together, the data becomes part of the records for that work (contract, invoices) and is kept for the periods the law requires, for example for tax purposes.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, or to restrict how we process it, and you can object to processing. One email to jan@appience.com is enough. You can also complain to a data protection authority: in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk); in the EU, the authority in your country, or Poland's UODO (uodo.gov.pl), where we're based.

Cookies and visitor statistics

This site uses no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. For visitor statistics we use Vercel Web Analytics, which counts visits anonymously: no cookies, no identifying you, no tracking across sites. That's why there's no consent banner: there's nothing to consent to.
